Nîwar Ismat Issa is a composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Iraqi Kurdistan. Trained in music composition and the qanun, a traditional Middle Eastern stringed instrument, he is also skilled in oud, saz, and piano. His work blends the rich musical heritage of his Kurdish roots with diverse global influences, creating a distinctive sound that resonates across cultures.

With over 15 years of experience in the music industry, Nîwar has composed for film and television soundtracks and collaborated with artists from around the world. His career began as a music instructor and performer, both solo and in ensembles, and he has since evolved into a sought-after music director and composer.

Beyond his musical achievements, Nîwar is deeply committed to cultural exchange and social unity. As a proud member of the Kurdish community, he co-founded the Kavi Institute and the NGO Walking Arts, both of which focus on using art to promote social cohesion and celebrate Iraq's diverse ethnic and religious communities.
